Description

Air Fryer Blackened Salmon with Mango Salsa is a delectable and healthy dish that combines succulent salmon fillets with a flavorful blackened crust and a refreshing mango salsa. This dish is a visually appealing and harmonious blend of spicy, savory, and sweet flavors.

Ingredients

Scale

Blackening Seasoning:

  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • (1/2) tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon Italian blend seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • (1/2) cayenne pepper, more or less depending on how spicy you like it
  • (1/2) teaspoon of salt

Mango Salsa:

  • 4 ripe mango, diced
  • 1 orange bell peppers diced
  • 1/2 cup of green onions (white and green portions)
  • 1/2 cup of chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 clove of fresh garlic minced
  • 1 jalapeno, seeded and minced
  • 2 large limes
  • (1/2) teaspoon of homemade blackening seasoning (see above)

Instructions

For the Salmon:

  1.  Spray salmon filets with avocado oil and season with blackening seasoning.

  2. Set your air fryer to 400 degrees, place seasoned salmon filets in the air fryer basket, and cook for 10 minutes.

For the Mango Salsa:

  1. As the salmon is cooking, combine the mango, bell peppers, green onions, cilantro, garlic, and jalapeno in a large bowl. Squeeze the lime juice over the mixture and season with blackening seasoning.

  2. Gently stir until evenly blended.

Remove the salmon from the air fryer and place it on plates, then top with salsa. Enjoy!
